Important COVID-19 Update How we can help you

So there you are, it’s December 15 and you are experiencing a new level of tired.

You haven’t got into the holiday spirit, you haven’t started your holiday shopping, you RSVPed to events you don’t even want to attend, your to-do list is a mile long, you are living on caffeine and sugar, and you just want a nap… remember that?

Same same. Our clients shared this exhaustion.

One of our CEOs in the luxury travel industry shared, “I have been doing this for over 30 years and I have never experienced a year like this!” A CEO in luxury meetings told me, “2023 was our hardest year ever, I hope 2024 is different!” An executive in the insurance industry said, “our industry went through our craziest year ever and I have never seen so much change in my whole career.”

I see you. I get it.

I don’t know about you, but 2023 kicked our bu**s. Our clients and team were happy to say goodbye to the challenges we witnessed in the world, and the overall feeling everyone had of being “tired in their bones.” Let’s not sugar coat it, last year was tough!

Fast forward to today — maybe you are like me and a new year brings excitement, a fresh chapter, a new blank page! I am like a kid on Christmas morning waiting to open presents — oh wait we just did that!

We are so excited for 2024 — insanely cool opportunities to serve clients in wonderful luxury destinations around the world. This year our adventures include Madrid, Greece, London — and fingers crossed I can go home to Australia to hug my mum!

2024 allows us to press the reset button!

What’s your word?

For the past 20+ years I set a contextual word each year to set the theme and it’s a decision-filtering system for us.

This year my word is — drumroll please — ELEVATE.

One of my favorite things each year is sharing this exercise with clients during keynote speeches, facilitating, strategic retreats and 1:1 Executive coaching sessions — I love when they tell me what their words are!

Think of this contextual word (or phrase) as your decision-filtering system.

Share your word or your intention with me, and let’s choose to make 2024 our best year yet.

Elevating Luxury Leadership

Last year my phrase was “Live Luxe” and we heard from our clients in luxury travel, hospitality, and financial services how our Luxury Mindset Research helped them improve their sales conversations, change their marketing strategies and help them communicate more powerfully — that makes my heart full!

Let me know if you’d like us to help you with that too. You can watch some of our short videos on the Luxury Mindset here.

Remember, luxury is not about being expensive.
Luxury is about experiences!
Luxury is a mindset.

So how does elevate tie into this luxury mindset work? So glad you asked! Elevate has many meanings, but in this context, I’m talking about elevating your leadership this year.

When you experience luxury you feel elevated.

It might be personalized attentive service from your favorite store, extra soft, high-thread count sheets at a hotel, a kind handwritten thank you note on beautiful stationery from a friend, a compliment from a stranger on your outfit when you step into the elevator, luxury is all around us and we can help elevate experiences for those we come into contact with each day.

Last year, we shared our luxury leadership model and it revealed that the same qualities we connect to luxury — i.e. long-lasting, high quality, authentic, unique, integrity, accountable, transparent — are the same qualities your team wants to experience from you as their leader.

We shared this model in our consulting and keynotes showing that true luxury leadership is about how you:

  • Communicate
  • Activate
  • Elevate

… everything! How do you lead within this model? I’d love to know!
