If you have heard of Coach John Wooden, you know about his Pyramid of Success: you can read more here
He has so many pearls of wisdom and wanted to include a few of my faves for you:
- Whatever you do in life, surround yourself with smart people who’ll argue with you.
- Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.
- It takes time to create excellence; if it could be done quickly, more people would do it.
- Never mistake activity for achievement.
- If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?
- Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.
- Winning takes talent; to repeat takes character.
- Earn the right to be proud and confident.
- Never make excuses. Your friends don’t need them and your foes believe them.
- Never try to be better than someone else. Learn from others, and try to be the best you can be. Success is the byproduct of that preparation.
- It is what you learn after you know it that counts.
