Important COVID-19 Update How we can help you

Are you finding it hard to get into the #holiday spirit this year because you are SO tired?

I see you.

Here are some no-to-low-cost ideas that you can do from your couch or even your car to help you find your holiday joy!

Extend grace to yourself. It’s been a year. Wow, it has been a doozy. Pour yourself your favorite sparkling something (#champagne, water, soda, or beer) and remind yourself you did it; you made it!

Ask Amazon Alexa, “Play holiday music” – music changes your mood; I have been playing holiday music in my car and office since Thanksgiving, so don’t judge me.

Do a holiday-themed workout – Cody’s holiday ride on Peloton Interactive made me laugh out loud, and I worked harder than planned. If I had abs, they would have had a workout, too, because I laughed so much.

Use a holiday mug for your morning coffee or hot chocolate – find a silly mug that makes you smile or reminds you of someone you love.

Wear Red *or Green or something sparkly – add a cute t-shirt with a holiday phrase or comfy cozy holiday pjs to remind you it’s the holiday season.

Wrap a gift for a neighbor or team member – make it easy and grab some Tokki gift bags from Target (you can even record a personal message on them – they are genius). Well done Jane Hyo-Sung Parkgenius!

Watch your favorite holiday movie. I recommend Love Actually and The Holiday, which are the best holiday movies ever. Don’t fight me on this one.

Call someone you love and do a walk and talk – catch up while you get a little movement in your day. My client in chilly NJ sent me this super cool walking pad, love it. I am spoiled as I live in Florida, so I can walk all year round.

Donate to your fave charity – a simple online donation feels excellent. If you want any suggestions, I support the American Heart Association (heart health), PACT (stop human trafficking), and The Spring of Tampa Bay (domestic violence).

Volunteer at an animal shelter– cuddling those babies that need homes will fill your heart, and warning might make you want to bring one home!

Drive around your neighborhood and marvel at the lights and crazy blow-up-thingys (I dislike them immensely, I know call me Grinch… but they are everywhere) – just enjoy the show.

Write love notes to people who help you each year, and include a tip if you can. I like buying a gazillion boxes of treats (chocolates, cookies, etc.) and including the note and play Santa for the two weeks leading to Christmas. If tipping is confusing to you, try The Emily Post Institute tipping guide.

Shop online – support your fave women-owned businesses and small businesses and order from them directly. I am obsessed with Ikos Candles this year.

Have food delivered – don’t want to brave the grocery store? I don’t blame you; place your order online and have it delivered – easy peasy.

Watch Instagram reels of cats destroying Christmas trees – it will make you laugh every.single.time.

Deline an invitation – yep you heard me. Say no. Send your regrets and cozy up on your couch with a holiday movie.

Make it easy. Slow down. Take a breath. Take in the wonder of the holidays.

Merry Christmas. Happy Hannukah. Happy Holidays.
