Give to CharityAre you responsible for fund raising for your board, committee or organization?

If you want to know the secrets to effective fund raising, try these strategies.

Find advocates – creating advocates for you and your cause will highly impact your ability to raise funds. Surround yourself with people who believe in you and what you do.

Engage corporate sponsors – research those who are interested in working with the same type of person you work with. Reach out to them and offer them the opportunity to get in front of your audience.

Ask everyone – you might feel exhausted from asking people, keep asking. Be diligent and offer others the opportunity to be involved in something you believe in.

Recruit everyone – find a variety of people from all different parts of your organization to reach out to their network too.

Utilize social media platforms – tweet, posts, add, share, video – do whatever you can share across multiple, relevant platforms to create a greater reach of the message.

Create video testimonials – ask advocates to create short videos you can share in your marketing program.

Target high profile people – share their testimonials, feedback, and leverage their social media platforms too.
