Get Productive:  Use Google Calendar

By May 19, 2014No Comments

Google calendarOne of the most common questions I am asked is what tool I use to manage my crazy life. Google calendar of course! It’s a no brainer if you manage a virtual team and you spend you life on planes, in airports and convention centers.

Four great reasons to use Google calendar include it’s sharable, accessible, free and backed up – easy peasy!

Share it with your team (and your loved ones) – our business manager Maria manages everything for us and my honey can always track me down (or call Maria I guess).

Access it anywhere – if you are on the road for your business you will find it accessible anywhere you have an Internet connection.

Free – enough said! We use Google apps so you pay a little extra for that service and it is worth it.

Backed up constantly by Google – that’s important for anyone who feels like their life is in their calendar (like me who is paid for serving audiences around the country as an opening keynote speaker).

I love that we can color code for different types of appointments and we have systemized that in our office (green for paid events, purple for personal time, blue for mentoring, grey when Maria is away, yellow for industry events).

If you are wanting a good system for your office or business, consider Google calendar.

What system do you use?  We’d love to hear your thoughts, share your ideas with us here on our blog.

PS. If you want more ideas on how to increase your productivity – check out other blogs here and several eBooks you can share with your team.
