Recently one of my clients (now a friend) celebrated the opening of his new, funky commercial space. I should also tell you, he is one of the top entertainers in the US and is admired and respected within his industry. When Jason throws a party – people come from miles around just to help him celebrate!
When I spoke with other amazingly talented guests (including rock star entertainers Marcello Pedalino and Mike Walter) who were there to share the night with him at his SCE Event Group open house (on a school night no less…), absolutely everyone was full of praise for him, his team and his commitment to excellence. He was surrounded by the best of the best.
I had driven 2 hours from home to celebrate with him (which by the way, I would normally think absolutely NO way) and yet, when I received his invitation I didn’t even give it a second thought! Other guests drove 4 hours or more and this is testimony to him. Of course I also used the drive down to connect with some amazing people by phone (yes on hands free) … just being productive!
I often hear people say ‘I’m too busy’ AND we are all busy. My good friend and awesome stylist Megan Kristel says ‘I don’t believe in being too busy for my people’. She believes we always make time for those who are important to us. I agree.
At Jason’s open house people were there to congratulate him, connect with others in their industry and they consciously chose to celebrate – how often do you do that in your life? Do you wait until your birthday each year? Do you wait for a public holiday?
Not me! I like to celebrate the little things, the big things and especially the things that matter to others.
The most productive people I know do less not more … but they do more of the things that energize them.
Congratulations Jason for being able to consciously celebrate surrounded by people who matter to you and reminding us how important it is to stop and celebrate every precious moment.
Neen, We are incredibly thankful for you detailing our celebration in such an amazing light on your blog. Thank you for taking time out of your life to spend the evening with us at SCE. We were honored to have you as a guest, and we are so honored to be featured on your amazing blog. Keep up the great work. Jason & the SCE family.
I was excited to share the celebrations with you all – you guys know how to party right!

G’Day gorgeous,
Thanks for including me in your latest article. Your thoughts are spot on!
I think when you can genuinely be excited for someone else’s success without any resentment or jealousy, it’s safe to say that you care about them.
Make time for others… and of course, for your yourself. Waiting for your birthday to celebrate life is ridiculous! 🙂 I always take the advice of the singer, Sade… “Everyday is Christmas- and every night is New Year’s Eve.” 🙂
So glad you made the trip to Jason’s open house!
Best wishes,
M
G’day gorgeous
We make a great team celebrating all life’s moments for people we care about! It was an honor to be on such a distinguished guest list and I loved seeing everyone celebrate and be truly excited for JJ.
Life is more fabulous when you celebrate daily!
Inspiring and humbling. Thank you for coming, Neen.
what an honor to party with you all!
Hi! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you if that would be ok. I’m definitely enjoying your blog and look forward to new updates.
I am @neenjames on Twitter
Superb blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!
WordPress rocks and Blogger.com are also good options for you. Best way to start your own blog is just do it. Write regularly, share great content, use images so people are interested and they can pin it (Pinterest) – good luck!
thanks that is so kind of you
