Are you traveling this holiday season?
Want to stay productive and healthy while you are on the road?
We interviewed Mojo Coach, Debi Silber for some of her great ideas for this holiday season and have included some of her suggestions for you.
If you want to be productive, schedule time to make exercise a priority this time of year – book it as a not negotiable appointment.
Pack everything you’d need for your workout-sneakers, clothes, book (if you read while on treadmill, etc.). You at least stand a chance of getting it done if you have what you need
Pack resistance bands. They do the same thing as free weights yet are practically weightless and easily portable.
Call ahead to see if the hotel has a gym. Many hotels offer fitness equipment you can borrow during your stay and can have it waiting for you in your room.
Even if the hotel doesn’t have a gym, you can work out in the hotel room by doing pushups, chair dips, lunges and crunches. Those exercises alone work every body part without any equipment at all. You’re using your own body weight as resistance which is more effective than weights.
If you’re taking a beach vacation, walking/jogging/running on the beach is much harder than on a street or treadmill meaning you can accomplish more in less time.
Most cruises now boast their work out facility as being as much a draw as the buffets!
Bring a pedometer. It’s a reminder to keep moving.
Happy Healthy… Productive Holidays
