ImpactivityTM: Small daily choices affect productivity

By April 7, 2011No Comments

My objective: Invest 30 days in each area of my life to accelerate my own impactivityTM in the world.

A huge day was spent in one of my fave cities NYC working with a group of executive assistants to assist increase their productivity when working with their leaders. It reminded me of all the good (and bad) bosses I have had over the years and how they have helped shape who I am today (and who I am as a leader in my own business).

We all need support to help us achieve our goals and so today I was also reminded that my public accountability influenced my decisions today, I guess you my reader have become a support system for me in helping achieve impactivity. I wasn’t tempted by making unhealthy food choices and even though the trains were delayed into the city, I chose to walk (… run) to the client instead of taking a taxi because I figured it was a great way to get in my exercise.

Two goals I didn’t fully achieve today include a time of quiet reflection and mediation (unless you count sleeping on the train) and investing 30 minutes on revenue generating activity… I did have an author rep reach out about a book project so that is kinda cool and I did have a client I am really keen to work with agree we are going to proceed.  Even though I didn’t achieve any real measurable activities today this blog has helped me keep it at the front of my mind.

With a crazy early start today (and no doubt an early night) and I pleased with today’s activity and ability to achieve goals because of choices made (to walk instead of take a cab, to choose great food instead of snacks and to write thank you notes on the train … instead of sleeping the whole time).

Productivity is in small daily choices that add up to big ImpactivityTM.
