I recently had the opportunity to hear Mark LeBlanc share his brilliance in New York as part of a chapter meeting of the National Speakers Association (NSA).
Knowing that Mark is not only a great guy, but also the coach of a dear friend and highly successful thought leader, I was intrigued to learn from him. During his ‘Grow Your Business’ presentation he delivered great value to the audience and my favorite idea was every day we need to act on three (3) high value activities (HVA).
His suggestions included:
- Call a prospect
- Email someone to reconnect
- Send a card or mailer or something to reconnect or remind someone
What also appealed to me was his theory that you could do 3 high value activities in 3 minutes. Make a call, send an email and send a card in 3 minutes… yep I could do that.
Often when we are growing our business or practice we say we are too busy to focus on sales, reconnect with existing customers or follow up on leads – NOT true!
If you are someone who hasn’t spent time on business development for a while… this week commit to taking 3 minutes daily to do three High Value Activities (HVA) and then let us know how you do.
Thanks again Mark for your service to NSA and all you have done over the years to help others grow their business.
