My fabulous friend Karen Roy shared this fun, money-saving blog with me today and I wanted to share it with you all too.
The holidays means investing SO MUCH time and energy in gifts and gift giving. You may recall previous holiday seasons where I have encouraged people to consider a lean holiday (see video here).
Neen James Shares how to have a lean, productive holiday season
This blog caught my attention for the one line ‘It should be about Christmas presents, not paying for Christmas past’.
This season can you have a pre-NUPP with your friends – which stands for No Unnecessary Present Pact ?
Don’t get me wrong… I LOVE gifts! I love selecting them for those I care about and I love receiving them however maybe this season you could agree with those you care about that you would rather create a memory or experience than exchange a gift.
My girlfriends and I have different traditions, one of my friends and I make a trip to New York each year to celebrate; another set of girlfriends includes High Tea at the Four Seasons. What traditions could you start with those you care about?
