While watching a great TED talk by Shawn Achor I was inspired by a few of his suggestions. Thoroughly recommend you invest a few minutes to watch this talk.
Something that really stuck out to me during his brief and brilliant talk was that happiness inspires productivity. It makes sense. If you feel happier, grateful and focused on the positive you are more likely to be successful at home and at work.
As CEO of Good Think Inc., where he researches and teaches about positive psychology, he shared that we can overcome our cultural ADHD by doing random acts of kindness daily.
My favorite idea he shared was when you open your inbox choose to write one positive note / email to someone. Simple.
Who can you reach out to that needs to hear from you today?
Can you be like Clint Eastwood ‘Go ahead … make my day!’ – Go on, try it, go ahead and make someone’s day even more positive and you will feel happier and then more productive!
