Eleanor Roosevelt was the First Lady of the United States from 1933 to 1945 – she was a pretty cool chick. She was not only an advocate for the civil rights movement but she was one of the greatest women of the 20th century. She was a humanitarian, wife of president Franklin D Roosevelt and an active member of the women’s suffrage movement (the right of women to vote and run for office).
She said one of my favorite quotes ‘do one thing everyday that scares you’.
I bet if I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with her over a latte she would suggest we all help someone become who they want to be. I believe that when people recognize their own value they increase it. It is easy to be scared by our own potential however if you help someone discover it you make an impact – mentoring rocks!
Could you support two people for every one person that has supported you?
Imagine the impact you would have on the planet – now that’s productive!
