Today while reflecting on what 2013 would hold for us it struck me we need to be equipped. Equipped with the right tools to get it done, the right team to support the process and the time to make it all happen!
We can’t let the smaller things distract us from the bigger work around the world.
Create your time: with 24 hours in a day – 86,400 seconds – how will you ensure that you are creating time for the highest priority items? It’s not effective to ‘cross stuff off your list’ so you feel better – this year choose to create time for what is most important. I choose a healthy 2013 – this means scheduling time for exercise, planning meals and working out with a trainer.
Select your team: with the precious time you have, who do you need in your corner? You don’t have to have employees, however you can create a virtual team. I choose to have a personal trainer to kick my b*tt several times a week to stay healthy – I have an accountability group of 4 women to report to every Friday on progress for business and personal – who do you need to select this year?
Choose your tools: with the resources you have, what tools do you need to achieve your goals? You don’t have to invest a lot of money or add more things to your to-do list; you need to be selective about the tools you need that will give you the greatest results. To get healthy I have a well-equipped home gym, way more work out DVDs that a person would ever need (by the way, I haven’t watched or used even half of them) and not-negotiable personal training appointments in my calendar. What tools do you need?
What do you need to be equipped with so 2013 is your most massively productive year? We’d love to hear your ideas here on our blog.
