ImpactivityTM: Public Accountability increases Productivity

By April 6, 2011No Comments

Day Two 6th April 2011

Thank you for all your messages, emails, Facebook responses and encouragement for this process. You are so sweet!

It does feel very vulnerable to put this out there and public accountability increases productivity.

For those of you just joining the journey, I have decided to blog for 30 days applying the guidelines to increase my productivity and impactivityTM that I share with my audiences around the world and blog about the results.

My objective: Invest 30 days in each area of my life to accelerate my own impactivityTM in the world.

Today I was fortunate to spend the day with leaders sharing productivite communication strategies. It was a full day and they are an awesome client because each of their team is fully committed not just to the organization; but to the cause they support. I admire them.

Physical:  I remember my dear friend Kim Huggins (fabulous generational expert) posting on Facebook about her love/hate relationship with her bosu – I totally get it! Great workout, hard work, fun and keeps you guessing whether you can balance or not.  I am sipping green tea as I write (because I had already forgotten that was one of my objectives so I am ‘multi-tasking’), got a good night’s sleep and ate well.

Spiritual: Quiet time was a treat, great clarity and I even meditated for a few minutes… I admire those who meditate deeply – it is a skill I desire and I now need to invest the time and attention to making it happen!  How do you meditate? What works for you? I would love to hear from you.

Financial: I did have a great call with a potential mentee in the Stiletto Mentoring program and increased my fees for one client – all in all (given I presented all day) – not bad.

Relational:  Next week I have the privilege of accepting an award for my dear friend and business partner, Joan Walsh and I am also the excited recipient of the Phebe Novakovick Award from the Women’s Resource Center. Today I had a delightful conversation with Phebe (the awards namesake) and she shared incredible wisdom with me. Something she said really stuck with me – her most important piece of advice for women was ‘family first – career second’ – so simple, so true and so relevant. As a productivity expert I am conscious of time and investing time however her wisdom is about having more impact!

A huge shout out to my Maria – the ruler of the Neen James universe for all she did for me today – she rocks and everyone needs a Maria.

Today was an early start: workout, eat and get on the road for my client and tomorrow I am in NYC – even earlier start… it will be interesting to see how I get it all done tomorrow; watch this space…now off for dinner and date night with friends.

Want to achieve your goals? Public accountability increases your productivity.
